About SwF
About the blog:
I started Supper with Friends after realizing I loved spending time with my friends, but did not necessarily always like going out to a restaurant or bar with them. Most of us are students, so saving money is important, too. I figured a good way to socialize would be to do what we do best: get together, talk, exchange ideas and cook. What was born was just a modern day supper co-op, where we all share the load of cooking and all benefit from the delicious results.
The main purpose of the site is to give you ideas on group meals to make together, and different ways of entertaining. Also included: reviews of Edmonton area speciality food stores and something special: the Calorie Consumption Crew. We go out and eat the grossest, fattiest, most satisfying foods around Edmonton and rate them for you.
About the author:

I’m Kelly. I currently live in Edmonton, but spent much of my adolescence living overseas. I have been obsessed with ethnic flavours and foods ever since. I work part time at one of Edmonton’s newspapers, doing photo and web desking, and love to bake and eat.
Currently my favourite food items are gomen from Habesha, cheddar-pepper scones from Duchess Bake Shop, St. Viateur bagels, milk shakes from Wendy’s, tostadas from my own kitchen, Hudson’s hamburgers (if my dad is not around to grind some burgers up), Newman’s Own 70% chocolate, Kurobuta pork from Bar Charlie in Las Vegas, vanilla marshmallows from Butter in Vancouver Duchess in Edmonton, Lemon-Berry Cream Slushes from Sonic Drive Thru and grilled cheese sandwiches made with Balderson 6-year-old cheddar from Costco. ALL IN ONE SITTING. I’m a classy lady.
I am on Twitter (@ClubZee) and also run a personal blog (crazy white girl with a kitchen).
